The Koveleski's in Ohio!!

Since I have spent the past thirty five-ish years on the west coast, and most of my extended family is on the east coast, I have missed spending time with them all.

Today, we are making our first trip to my cousin Mike's home in Springfield. I am so excited to spend time with him, his wife and the remaining kids at home (they have SIX), that I can hardly stand myself. I feel like it is Christmas!

We are only able to spend two nights, but it will give us a chance to see my family; where and how they live,  and their fabulous shop; Design Sleep, which I have heard so much about, yet have never visited.

After a slow down in Cincinnatti, we arrived just in time to have a FABULOUS Haitian/Latin FEAST!! John, the oldest one currently at home,  literally prepared the best fish tacos, rice and beans, salsa, and plantains that I have ever eaten! It was amazing! Of course, Mom directed, but what a great kid! Not many young boys, at the age of 15 are interested in cooking, or old family members, either.
He is the perfect blend of Mom and Dad, a bit quirky, extremely intelligent, and full of life! Love, JOHN!!

And the "baby" Lily! Oh, my.....what a sweet, bright light she is!

Being with family just makes my heart sing.  Our visit may be short, but we will make the most of it, for sure.

Family Time and Design Sleep

Well, I have heard about Design Sleep for a very long time, but have never had the opportunity to sleep on one of their mattresses; and just as I suspected, I was thoroughly impressed and slept like a baby!

Once I finally woke up and began to function, (still a slow starter; thanks CML) Margery took us on a tour of the town. First, to their store which not only has amazing beds and mattresses, they also have recliners that fit my body, and support my back perfectly, beautiful sheets, pillow, and pillowcases, and can we talk about lamps; OMG AMAZING! I believe they said they were made from some sort of leaf, seamed together in most fabulous shapes.

I could have hung out there, all day. I am thinking that I will be needing one of these form-fitting recliners to help deal with this continued back pain.

Please visit their site/store if you are in need of any of these things. (they ship!)

Our little tour around Yellow Springs was enchanting; my favorite kind of town. Small and nostalgic. Everywhere you look, it just feels "like home"!

It was so great to drive around and see where they live where they shop and where they call home. Somehow, it always makes me feel closer to others, when I have actually walked where they walk, slept where they sleep and just live a few days in their lives.

I am richer because of our time together, and so blessed to have been welcomed into their beautiful, full of love, home.

It is bittersweet leaving, but I am so grateful for the time they took out of their busy lives, just to spend time with us.

Love you guys, bunches! I can't wait to do it again!
