I May Have CML, But it Does Not Stop Me!!
I have been living with chronic myelogenous leukemia since February 2011. I’m not going to lie, the beginning years were rough, but the last five or so have been pretty darn good!
I take Bosulif, and have been able to taper down my dose to 100 mg, twice. Day, which has helped with the side effects tremendously. I still have a chronic plural effusion, and quite often nausea, but a little Zofran, and taking my time going up hills and stairs, and I am pretty good.
That being said, I love to travel. It feeds my soul.
Hence, I am on another trip. Getting to Paris is always a trek, and sup exhausting, but so worth it! I am with my husband, my daughter and her husband.
Our first, jet-lagged day I am afraid I might have overdone it! We walk nearly 20,000 steps, and it was seven weeks pot appendectomy. Today I am whopped! And taking it easy, but I am still grateful to be here!
We walked from our Air BnB all of the way to the Opera House, just to find out that there were no tickets available. Boo! We walked down to the Louvre, and had a nice lunch. Over to the Eiffel Tower, and taxied home!
Dinner was late, and I didn’t sleep for beans, but still glad to be here!
Life is good; I am blessed and grateful.
